The following is what positions we are currently staffing for. The benefits are different depending on what you do. To apply for one of the listed positions or as a host, cosplayer, judge, or panelist, click the link below.

Rules:

1) You must pre-register in order to volunteer.
2) You will need to be on time and available for the full amount of time you are applying for.
----2.A) If you are the first shift of the day, you must get your supplies from the working Registration volunteer.
----2.B) If you are the last shift of the day, make sure to leave your supplies in the hands of the working Registration volunteer before leaving.
3) Everyone in the pre-registration line will need to show the proper identification (either their email, receipt, or Photo I.D.) in order to receive their admission.
4) Every person must sign in. This will help us keep count and ensure that each person whose name has been crossed off the pre-registration list was there to pick up his of her own ticket(s).
5) While on duty, you have access behind the table of the pre-registration/registration table. Off duty, you are not permitted behind the table. You only have access to pre/registration and no other behind-the-scenes areas.
6) While on duty, it is imparitive that you do not leave your position un-attended and not leave until someone has come to take your place. If you have an emergency or need to go to the rest-room, inform the person beside you. There should always be one of you at the table at all times.
7) Be sure to sign yourself in and out at the registration table. We need documentation of your time so we can make sure you worked your hours and that you are refunded for your time.
8) Eat before you show up for your time unless you have arranged for someone to bring you food. Going to buy food is too time-consuming depending on the time of day and whether you know Chattanooga or not so please be sure to get a meal in before you go to your post.
9) All volunteers must have a working cell phone.

Rules:

1) You must pre-register in order to volunteer.

----2.A) If you are the first shift of the day, you must be there to be sure that the doors are open for the dealers to come in and begin setting up.
----2.B) If you are the last shift of the day, start getting con-goers out 30 minutes prior to the closing of the dealer's room. This is so dealer's can close up for the night. Make sure the doors are locked before you leave. No one is allowed in after the Dealer's Room is closed.
3) If someone is causing a disturbance, give them one warning to quiet down. The next time, they are banned from the dealer's room for that day (which needs to be reported to an Administrator). If someone is caught purposely vandalizing (not an accident) or trying to steal in the dealer's room, report them to an administrator immediately, as they are banned from JAMPcon 2009 instantly.
4) While on duty, you should stay in the dealer's room and monitor. You only need to leave if you have an emergency or need to go to the rest-room. It's preferable to try and see if you can contact someone to stand in for you while you do such, but it is fine to leave if you cannot find someone.
5) Dealers will have 2 times a day that they can request food. If you are working during either time, you will need to go around and write down what everyone is wanting. Be sure to get their money and know whose money is whose.

Rules:

----2.A) If you are the first shift of the day, you will need to be there to monitor the hallways and direct people (if they need help) as they come in.
----2.B) If you are the last shift of the day, you will need to make sure all con-goers have left each room and that the doors have been shut and locked.
3) The halls of the convention center are spacious but it is still possible for a group to block the traffic down the hallways. We will not be the only event happening in the building so we want to make sure to keep traffic moving. If you see a group trying to take pictures or talking in the middle of the walkway, kindly direct them to the side of the hallway, the con suite, or outside where they will have more space.
4) While on duty, you will need to comb to hallways for any disruptions; vandalism, stealing, rough-housing, arguments, fights, etc. The point is for everyone to have fun but not at the cost of someone's health or the convention due to damages to the building or equipment.
5) While on duty, it is fine to walk in on panels quietly from time to time and observe what is going on, especially in the game, con suite, and anime/manga rooms to make sure things are going smoothly. If you come across someone being disruptive, give them a warning. The next time, they are out of that panel and reported to an administrator.

----2.B) If you are the last shift of the day, make sure the everyone is out and the door is locked behind you.
3) Every person must sign in. This will help us know who was in the game room at what time so if anything is damaged or stolen, we have somewhere to start.
4) If a game tournament is happening, all other systems and TVs must be shut off. At this point, you should be monitoring the crowd to make sure no disruptions are happening to the tournament. Anyone who is a part of the tournament should be on a sign-up sheet.
5) While on duty, it is imparitive that you do not leave your position un-attended and not leave until someone has come to take your place. If you have an emergency or need to go to the rest-room, get in contact with an administrator so we can get someone to sit in for you while you are gone.

Rules:

1) You must pre-register in order to volunteer.
2) You will need to be on time and available for the full amount of time you are applying for.
----2.A) If you are the first shift of the day, you will need to make sure the TV and DVD player are working and get the first DVD started. DVDs will be in the game room. There will be a playlist for that day so make sure you grab the DVD for that time and only that DVD. Leave the case in the game room.
----2.B) If you are the last shift of the day, make sure the DVD is returned to the game room and the door is shut and locked behind you.
3) If you leave the room while a DVD is playing, just be sure you check back often and that each DVD is replaced as soon as the last one is done. We do not believe you need to stay in there the full time the DVD is playing but we also want to make sure that we stay on time with the programming and that equipment is safe. Be sure to inform the crowd that they may skip past the opening and closing if they chose to (if you have left the room momentarily).
4) If someone is being unreasonably noisy, give them one warning to calm down. The next time, they are banned from the anime/manga room for that day and it needs to be reported to an administrator.

3) Every person must sign in. This will help to keep track of who came in at what time and what they checked out to read so that if anything comes up missing or damaged, we can investigate with much more efficiency.
4) While on duty, it is imparitive that you do not leave your position un-attended and not leave until someone has come to take your place. If you have an emergency or need to go to the rest-room, contact an administrator so someone can sit in for your while you are gone.
